Question

Does the work done is moving a body depend on how fast or how slow the body is moved?

Open in App
Solution

Yes

In Physics, Work is defined as force causing the movement or displacement of the object

Work = distance×speed

According to newtons second law : Force =mass×acceleration

If we consider velocity of the object is zero (Acceleration also zero), ultimately work done on the object also zero

So work done on the object is depend on the velocity of the object
