Draw a line segment of the length 6.6cm. Bisect it and measure the length of each part.

Step 1. Draw a line segment AB=6.6cm using ruler.

Step 2.Taking A as a centre and taking radius more than the half of 6.6cm, draw two arcs on the opposite sides of AB.

Step 3.Without changing the radius , now takingB as a centre, draw two arcs on the opposite sides of ABwhich will intersect the previous arcs.

Step 4. Draw a line joining the intersecting points of the arcs sayP andQ. This PQ line is the required bisector of the line AB

Step 5.Now measure the lengthOA and OB using ruler .The length of OA and OB is 3.3cm each.
