Question

Draw an angle of measure 147° and construct its bisector.

Open in App
Solution

Step- 1: Construct the required measure of angle:

  • Draw a ray OA
  • Place the center of the protractor on point O and coincide the line OAwith the protractor line.
  • Mark B on 147° and join OB. Thus AOB=147° is formed.

Step- 2: Construct angle bisector:

  • Taking any radius draw arcs intersecting the line segments OA,OB and mark them as C,D respectively.
  • With C and D as centers and radius as more than half the distance between the points C and D draw arcs intersecting each other.

  • Mark the intersecting point as E and join it with O. Thus OE is the bisector of AOB=147°

Hence, the required angle is drawn and bisected.
