3. With R as centre, draw an arc, cutting the line x at M and N.
4. With M as centre and radius more than half of MN, draw an arc.
5. With N as centre and the same radius, draw another arc, cutting the previously drawn arc at Q.
6. Join RQ and produce it to both sides to get the line y.
