Draw parallelogram ABCD with the following data :
AB = 6 cm, AD = 5 cm and DAB=45.

Solution

(i) Construct line segment AB of length 6 cm.
(ii) At point A, construct angle of 450 with the help of compass and
name it as BAL
(iii) Taking 5 cm as radius, mark an arc on the ray AL and name the point
of intersection as D.
(iv) From point B, draw an arc measuring 5cm
(v) Taking 6 cm as radius, draw an arc from D and name the point of
intersection of the arc drawn in point iv, with this arc as C.
(vi) Join CD.
ABCD is the required parallelogram.
