Solution

The correct option is B Male gamete, Polar nucleus
  • Pollen grains from anthers are released in two celled stage, Generative cell and Tube cell. When these pollen grains reach stigma of carpel, the tube cell matures and form pollen tube.
  • Inside this pollen tube, the other generative cell undergoes the process of mitosis and give rise to two male gametes.
  • When the pollen tube reach the embryo sac, it release the male gametes. One male gamete fuse with the egg cell (female gamete) present in the embryo sac and give rise to a dipolid zygote. This process is called as syngamy or generative fertilization.
  • The other male gamete fuses with the two polar nuclei (or secondary nucleus) to form the triploid primary endosperm nucleus. The process is called triple fusion or vegetative fertilization.
So, the correct option is 'Male gamete, Female gamete'.
