Also given, to find the area of the enlarged flower bed and also the increase in the area of the flower bed.

Convert $80cm$ into $mt\Rightarrow \frac{80}{100}=0.8$

$\Rightarrow 2+0.8+3.0=5.8m$

So, Square flower bed side $=5.8m$

Area of the flower bed $=5.8\times 5.8$

[$\therefore$ it is in square shape. Area of square $=a^{2}sqm$]

Area $=33.64sqm$

as it is increased by $50cm\Rightarrow \frac{50}{100}mt=0.5mt$

$\therefore$ it's side $=5.8+0.5+0.5=6.8mt$

$\therefore$ area of the flower bed after increasing

$0.5m\Rightarrow a^2=6.8\times 6.8=46.24m^2$

$\therefore$ Now, the increased area of the flower bed $\Rightarrow 46.24-33.64=12.6m$.

$\therefore$ increase in the area of the flower bed $=12.6mt$.
