2m,80 cm and 3m.
and it si extended up to 50 cm.
Also given, to find the area of the enlarged flower bed and also the increase in the area of the flower bed.
Convert 80 cm into mt80100=0.8
2+0.8+3.0=5.8m
So, Square flower bed side =5.8 m
Area of the flower bed =5.8×5.8
[ it is in square shape. Area of square =a2 sq m]
Area =33.64 sqm
as it is increased by 50 cm50100mt=0.5 mt
it's side =5.8+0.5+0.5=6.8 mt
area of the flower bed after increasing
0.5 ma2=6.8×6.8=46.24 m2
Now, the increased area of the flower bed 46.2433.64=12.6 m.
increase in the area of the flower bed =12.6 mt.
