Solution

The correct option is A 8,250 bananas
3,300 apples
Number of students = 1,650

Bananas consumed by each student = 5

∴ Total number of bananas required =1,650 × 5

Let us split 1,650 in the respective place values as: 1650 = 1000 + 600 + 50

Now, we multiply each value by 5.

After adding all the values, we get 8,250 as the product.
Hence, 8,250 bananas are required.

Now, number of apples consumed by each student = 2

Number of students = 1,650

∴ Total number of apples required = 1,650 × 2

Again splitting 1,650 in the respective place values, we get:

Now we will multiply each value by 2.

After adding the values, we get 3,300 as the product.
Hence, 3,300 apples are required.

Thus, 8,250 bananas and 3,300 apples are required.
