Solution

Definition of dissolution.

The process of dissolving a substance in a given solvent is called dissolution.

  • In aerated drinks, CO2gas is dissolved in water under high pressure.
  • when the bottle is opened , CO2expelled out .
  • Because in the bottle the gas is at high pressure .
  • But atmosphere pressure is less than that of gas in bottle.
  • So CO2 rush from high pressure to low pressure.
  • when pressure decreases , Solubility of CO2 also decreases.
