Question

How does some organisms reproduce both sexually and asexually ?

Open in App
Solution

Plants, starfish etc. can reproduce both sexually and asexually. Sexual reproduction takes place in these organisms by the production of gametes and fusion of these gametes later. When environmental conditions are suitable, asexual reproduction occurs and the organism takes advantage of these favourable conditions like abundant food supply, favourable climate, etc.
