Dear Student,

Almost every country, at some point in time, has been involved in the ill-treatment of women. Women did not usually get their rights as easily and as early as the men did. They had to fight for their own rights and were often ill-treated. This brought about the need for women empowerment.
Women empowerment can be done by giving them equal rights to vote as men, providing proper education to girls, protection against domestic violence, abolishing child marriage, and giving equal opportunities at jobs and the same pay as men.
Enabling equal opportunities for employment for women is a way of empowerment but merely employment doesn't make them empowered. There are many other sectors where women need to be given equal rights and opportunities to feel empowered.
