The correct option is B λ3=λ1λ2λ1+λ2
For transition of an electron,
1λ=R(1n211n22)

According to the given information,

1λ1=R(1n2C1n2B) (1)

1λ2=R(1n2B1n2A) (2)

1λ3=R(1n2C1n2A) (3)

Adding (1) and (2), we get,
1λ1+1λ2=R(1n2C1n2B)+R(1n2B1n2A)
=R(1n2C1n2A)

1λ1+1λ2=1λ3

λ3=λ1λ2λ1+λ2

Hence, (B) is the correct answer.
