The correct option is D x = $\frac{1}{2}$ y
We can clearly see that, $H_{2} S O_{4}$ gives 2 moles H+ while HCl gives 1 mole H+ from 1 mole after ionization. Hence, $H_{2} S O_{4}$ will release double amount of heat as compared to HCl,

$∴$ y = 2x
$∴$ x = 1/2 y
