Solution

The correct option is D foetus has severe anaemia and jaundice
Erythroblastosis fetalis is a condition which arises when a female is rhesus negative and the mail is Rh positive.
It causes the death of the foetus within the womb or just after birth.
The child from such a couple inherits the Rh positive trait from the father.
The Rh-positive red blood corpuscles of a foetus in the womb enter the blood of the mother where the development of Rh antibodies takes place as the mother's blood is rhesus negative it causes more harm to her.
These antibodies along with the mother's blood on reaching the fetal circulation cause the clamping of fetal RBC. The first child is born normal because by that time the number of antibodies in mothers that remain lesser but they increase with successive pregnancy
So, the correct option is 'foetus has severe anaemia and jaundice'
