The correct option is D Fe2+
Erythropoiesis is the process of formation of Red blood cells (RBCs). It occurs in liver, spleen and lymph nodes in foetus while after birth, this process occurs in bone marrow. The elements necessary for formation of RBCs are iron (Fe2+), vitamin B12 and folate. This process takes about 72 hours.
