Solution

The correct option is C 11.2km/sec
Escape velocity is the minimum speed needed for an object to escape from the gravitational attraction of a massive body. The escape velocity from Earth is about 11.186km/s (40,270km/h;25,020mph) at the surface. More generally, escape velocity is the speed at which the sum of an object's kinetic energy and its gravitational potential energy is equal to zero.
since we know that gravitational field is a conservative field (work independent of path taken) so it does'nt matter in which direction you through with this speed it will escape.
