Solution

The correct option is B False
When a solution of ethanol is heated with potassium permanganate, the pink color of solution disappear because of strong oxidizing agent as KMnO4, which oxidizes ethanol to ethanoic acid.
CH3CH2OH KMnO4−−−− CH3COOH
K2Cr2O7 and KMnO4 can convert ethanol to ethanoic acid, oxalic acid is H2C2O4 which can not convert the same.
