Writing $(198)^{2}$ as $(200 - 2)^{2}$
$\Rightarrow$ $(200 - 2)^{2}$ = $200^{2} - 2 \times 200 \times 2 + 2^{2}$ $=$ $40000 - 800 + 4$
Hence the answer is $39204$
