To find: Using $(a + b)^{2} = a^{2} + 2 a b + b^{2}$ to evaluate $34^{2}$
First we will write $34$ as $(30 + 4)$
$∴$ $((30 + 4)^{2})$ $= 30^{2} + 2 \times 30 \times 4 + 4^{2}$ = $900 + 240 + 16$
Hence the answer is $1156$
