Eventhough diamond, silica, sugar and urea are solids,why are they classified as covalent compounds?

These compounds have covalent bond between their atoms which make them covalent compounds.
It does not matter if they are solid or not.
If atoms of a compound are bonded by covalent bonds,they are classified as covalent compounds.
