Crops which are grown during the monsoon season are called kharif crops. Paddy (rice),maize, soybean, groundnut, millets and cotton are examples of kharif crops.

On the other hand, crops grown during the winter season are called rabi crops. Rabi crops include wheat, gram and mustard.
