Explain any one difference between a pressure group and a political party.

A pressure group is an organized group of people that does not put up candidates for election, but seeks to influence government policy or legislation. They can also be described as 'interest groups', 'lobby groups' or 'protest groups' whereas, a political party consists of a group of people who come together to contest elections and hold power in the government.
