Hybridization is one method through which we can produce the crop and which ensures high yield.
Steps involved in hybridization:
(a) Selection of parent plants with desired qualities
(b) Removal of stamens from the male flower
(c) Collection of pollen grains from the male flower
(d) Pollinating the female flower using the collected pollen grains
(e) Covering the mother plant with polythene bag
(f) Collection of mature seeds from mother plant
(g) Selecting and growing better varieties of offsprings
