Question

Explain giving example that particles of matter has interparticle space between them?

Open in App
Solution

The particles of matter have space between them which is called interparticle space.

For example, when we dissolve sugar in water. The level of the water does not increase. This is because the sugar molecules occupy the space present between the water molecules. Therefore, we can easily understand that particles of matter have inter-particle space between them.
