Explain how does the body react after the entry of a microbe into the body.
When viruses, bacteria, or other microbes enter our body, they begin to multiply and cause infection. As a result of infection, the cells of our body get damaged and signs and symptoms of an illness appear. Our immune system comes into action in response to infection and recruits many cells to the affected tissue to kill off the disease-causing microbes. This recruitment process is called inflammation. Due to the effect of this process swelling, pain and fever occur.
