Explain how the three tier system of consumer courts functions.

Dear Student,

The district level court deals with cases involving claims up to Rs. 20 lakhs, the state level courts between Rs. 20 lakhs and Rs. 1 crore and the national level court deals with Rs. 1 crore and above. When a case is dismissed at the district level, the consumers can appeal at the state level and then at the national level courts for their rights.

This is how three tier system of consumer court function.
