EXPLAIN THE CONCEPT OF THE VARNASHRAMA

a. The idea of Varnashrma is based on the performing one's duties as per one's varna and as per stages of life.
b. As per vedic text, individual has to perform duties as per one's dharma, to satisfy the Supreme God.
c. It identifies, that Brahmins were the learned, Kshtriyas the warriors, Vasiya involved the merchants, landowners and the shudras the servants who served them .
d. This is to maintain social order.
e. Further, an individual is to perform dharma according to four stages of life which includes, student life, household life, retirement, and renunciation.
f. The system of Varna ashrama focuses on one's ggoals of life and encourages a person to strive a balance between the four goals of life. en
