Explain the difference between Buna-N and BunaS.

Buna -N
(1) It is copolymer of 1,3-butadiene and acrylonitrile
(2) It is also called as Nitrile Rubber(NBR)
(3)It is used in making oil seels ,used in manufacturing of tank linings, and protective gloves
(4)It is obtained by polymerisation of 1,3-butadiene and acrylonitrile in the presence of sodium

Buna -S
(1) It is a copolymer of 1,3 -butadiene and styrene.
(2) It is also called as styrene butadiene rubber(SBR)
(3) It is used for making automobile tyres, rubber soles,belts,hoses etc
(4)It has slightly less tensile strength than natural rubber
(5) It is obtained by polymerisation of 1,3-Butadiene and styrene in the ratio 3:1 in the presence of sodium.
