Effect of pressure on the solubility of gases in water:-
At any given temperature, the solubility of a gas in a liquid is directly proportional to the pressure on the surface of the liquid. This is known as Henry's law.
When we increase the pressure on the surface of the water, then the solubility of gases in water also increases.
Effect of temperature on the solubility of gases in water:-
An increase in the temperature of the water causes a decrease in the solubility of a gas in it as by increasing the temperature, the kinetic energy increases and the gases escape from the liquid.
