Solution :
The most significant outcome of this invasion was the establishment of direct contact in various fields between India and Greece.
It also paved the way for the establishment of trade routes between India and Europe.
Alexander’s historians have left clearly dated records of Alexander’s campaign, which have enabled us to build the Indian chronology for subsequent events on a definite basis.
Cultural contact with the Greeks resulted in the formation of a separate Indo-Greek school of art called the Gandhara School of art.
Lastly, the invasion of Alexander contributed immensely towards the political unification of that region. It weakened the strength of the small northwestern republics, allowing Chandragupta Maurya to expand his conquests in this region. Thus the Mauryan empire was established.
