Experiment by Chadwick:

  1. When Chadwick bombarded a thin sheet of Beryllium (Be) by alpha particles, electrically neutral particles were emitted.
  2. The mass of these particles was slightly greater than that of protons.
  3. Chadwick named these particles as neutrons.
  4. Except for Hydrogen (H), every other element has neutrons in its nucleus.
