(a) Sperm: The term sperm refers to the male reproductive cells.The male reproductive system creates sperm that is manufactured in the seminiferous tubules within each testicle. The head of the sperm contains the DNA, which when combined with the egg's DNA, will create a new individual.

(b) Egg: The term egg refers to the female reproductive cells.

(c) Embryo: Embryo is formed from the zygote by repeated divisions, which grows in the uterus of the female in case of internal fertilization. Embryo grows into foetus when it gets into well developed limbs.
