  • Therefore, it is important to understand matter in order to understand the world around us.
  • Matter Has Mass: The measure of quantity of matter contained in a substance is called mass. More the amount of matter in an object, the more is its mass.
  • Matter Occupies Space: Matter occupies space which means that the particles of matter move around in the space occupied by them. Everything occupies space.
