Conclude the answer explaining about how two land-masses met to create mountains.
Solution:
Millions of years ago, India was not part of Asia as it is today. The world was a single landmass called Pangea. After sometime, Pangea broke into two landmass. The northern landmass was Laurasia and the southern landmass was Gondwana Land.
Indian subcontinent was part of Gondwana Land. Because of the internal forces of Earth, Gondwana Land broke further and Indo-Australian plate separated from Gondwana Land and started its northwards journey.
After again, millions of years after, the Indo-Australian plate collided with Eurasian Plate. The collision resulted in the folding of the edges of the two plates and it created the mighty Himalayas.
