Solution

Dear student
Hormones are non nutrient chemical , synthesised in the endocrine glands by the process of anabolism. It acts as intercellular messengers and produced in trace amounts. They are transported in the blood to a specific organ or tissue where they act to control growth metabolism, sexual reproduction and other body purposes. They are either protein or steroid chemical substances . Hormones such as GH (control the growth of body), ADH (regulates the water and electrolyte balance of the body fluid ) ,FSH (stimulates the development of graffian follicles in ovary and formation of spermatozoa in testes) , Insulin (main function is to decrease sugar level in blood),Adrenalin ( prepare individual for meeting emergency condition, etc show this mechanism of hormone action. Hormones regulates the physiological process by chemical means.Their over secretion or under secretion leads to serious consequences.
