Explain the methods to control pests which have less harmful effects.

There are various methods to control pests. Use of chemical pesticides to kill pests has an harmful effects to the crop and to the humans. The other methods to cotroll pest with less harmful effects include:

1. Biological method of pest control is preferred over the chemical method as it shows no or less harmful effects. In biological method, insects, mites, weeds etc pests are controlled used microorganisms.

2. The other method to control pest with less harmful effect is by doing crop rotation. It helps control pests by depriving them of their host plants.

3. Trap cropping is another method of pest control. In this, a trap crop, a crop of a plant that attracts pests is grown nearby crops to divert the pests.
