Explain the preparation of ammonia using hydrogen.

  1. Haber's process is the reaction of hydrogen (H2) with nitrogen (N2) to form ammonia (NH3).
  2. For the reaction to occur, high temperature (4500C) and high pressure (200 atm) conditions are required.
  3. The presence of iron (Fe) as a catalyst speed up the reaction.
  4. Molybdenum is used as a promoter in this reaction.
