Cultivation of wheat involves various steps with various machinery at different steps.
Soil preparation: It is done to loosen the soil. Machines involved in this process include plough, hoe and cultivator. Plough is usually made of wood and drawn by a pair of bulls or other animals. It has iron strip called plough share which is used to loosen soil. Hoe is usually used to remove weed and cultivator is a tractor.
Sowing and harvesting: The seeds are filled into the funnel, passed down through two or three pipes having sharp ends. Nowadays, seed drill is used with the help of a tractor. Sickle is the traditional means of harvesting and a modern means is a thresher machine which separates the chaff and the grain.
