Solution

Nucleus:

  • Nucleus is a spherical body that controls all the activities of the cell and hence they are called the brain of cells.
  • Nucleus is surrounded by a double-layered membrane called nuclear membrane which consists of many pores known as nuclear pores.
  • Nuclear membrane covers a jelly-like material called nucleoplasm.
  • Nucleoplasm contains one or more spherical bodies called nucleoli and a network of thread-like material called chromatin.
  • Chromatin contains genes that transfer from parent to offspring.
  • During cell division, chromatin will condense and form chromosomes.
