Explain the term Callus.

Callus culture is a term that we read a lot when we study about plant tissue culture. Callus culture usually is a very unorganised mass of cells produced from isolated plant cell tissue or organ that is when grown on an artificial nutrient medium gives the entire plant. The plant callus is generally a parenchymatous cell mass. The cell mass is introduced with plant growth regulators and different medium that initiate callus formation of somatic embryogenesis.
