Uses of paint are :

1. The paint is used as a protective layer on the surface. For example- the coating of paint is applied on iron pipes so that they can be prevented from rusting.
2. It can also be used from a decorative point of view. Various textures are also added for different designs.
3. Coating paint on walls makes the cleaning process very easy.

• The pigment is an intensively colored material in itself that is completely or nearly insoluble in water.
• It determines the color of the paint and gives specific properties to it.
