(b) Gram mole
(c) Mole

Solution

(a) One gram atom of an element is the quantity of that element that has the same weight as that of its gram atomic weight. Here, gram atomic weight is the atomic weight of that element in grams. For example, one gram atom of nitrogen atom is equal to 14 grams of nitrogen atoms.
(b) One gram mole of a substance is the quantity of that molecule that has the same weight as that of its gram molecular weight. Here, gram molecular weight is the molecular weight of that molecule in grams. For example, one gram mole of CH4 molecule is equal to 16 grams of CH4ā€‹ molecule.
(c) A mole is defined as the amount of a substance that contains 6.023×1023 (Avogadro's Number) elementary particles such as atoms, molecules or ions. For example, 1 mole of oxygen contains 6.023×1023 atoms of oxygen.
