Tundra vegetation:

This type of vegetation is found in the northern most parts of the continent.
It is located along the northern coast of Canada. The subsoil is in this region is frozen permanently. The vegetation that are common in these region are
mosses, lichens, arctic flowers and grasses.

Taiga vegetation:

This type of vegetation is found from Atlantic to Pacific coast below tundra belt.
Characteristics: Soft wood coniferous forest is found.
Vegetation: pine, fir, spruce and larch.
