Explain why chloroplasts are found only in plant cells?

Green coloured plastids are called chloroplasts. They provide green colour to the leaves. Chlorophyll in the chloroplasts of leaves is essential for photosynthesis. As only plants can perform photosynthesis, so chloroplasts are found only in plant cells.
