Cooling of gases occur when the particles come closer to each other thereby they are converted to liquid. When the particles are closer they experience more attraction and the gases are converted to liquid. Similarly when they experience more repulsive forces the heating effect is experienced by the gas molecules. According to the postulates, ideal gases are the one which shows no attraction or repulsive forces among the molecules. The volume occupied by the individual gas particles are negligible compare to the total volume. So the ideal gases cannot show ideal or real gas.
