Explain why, plants have low energy needs as compared to animals.

Plants being sessile stay at one place and lack the basic process of locomotion while animals move from one place to another in search of food, shelter and mates. The physical activity performed by the plants is also less when compared to animals.


Plants does not move here and there in search of their food .They remain at one place throught the life and their most of the cell are dead .On the other hand animals needs more energy for a number of life process .Animals have to search for their food which requires a lot of energy and they have complex organs which need energy to operates, hence animals need more energy .
