Solution

Dear student,

Tigers maintain the ecological balance and their presence denote a healthy ecosystem. They form an important link in various food chains. When they become extinct, the entire food chain is disturbed. The organisms of the food chain that depend on tigers in a variety of ways also meet with the same fate. Hence, extinction of tigers leads to biodiversity loss and can affect the equilibrium in the ecosystem.
