$(2)$ $- 2 x^{2} + 3 x + 9$
$\Rightarrow - 2 x^{2} + 6 x - 3 x + 9$
$\Rightarrow - 2 x (x - 3) - 3 (x - 3)$
$\Rightarrow - (x - 3) (2 x + 3)$ .
