Factorisation by Grouping Terms
Factorise : 3...
Question
Factorise : 3 - 12 (a-b)²
Open in App
Solution
Given,
3 - 12(a-b)²
= 3{1 - 4(a-b)²} (Take 3 common)
= 3[1² - {2(a-b)}²]
Now using the formula
A²-B² = (A+B)(A-B) in above equation,
= 3[{1 + 2(a-b)}{1 - 2(a-b)}]
= 3(1 + 2ab- 2b)(1 - 2a + 2b) ....... Answer
