Solution

Factorizex4-(y+z)4.

The given expression can be written as

x4-(y+z)4=x22-y+z22

=x2+y+z2x2-y+z2 [a2-b2=(a+b)(a-b)]

=x2+y2+2yz+z2x2-y2-2yz-z2 [a+b2=a2+2ab+b2]

=x2+y2+z2+2yzx2-y2-z2-2yz=x2+y2+z2+2yzx+y+zx-y-z
